Emily Jones

Emily Jones joined the Trueblaze team in January 2026 as Accounting & Tax Manager. She began her career in public accounting working for Deloitte Tax as part of an international tax consulting group before transitioning into higher education at her alma mater, Franklin College. For 12 years, Emily taught accounting and tax courses, combining real-world experience with a passion for education. In addition to teaching, Emily continued to provide tax services to approximately 40 individual, small business, and nonprofit clients, staying active and engaged in the profession. Believe it or not, Trueblaze founder Adam even made a few guest appearances in Emily’s classroom — a connection that helped inspire her return to the accounting profession.

Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Franklin College, an MBA from Butler University, and is a Certified Public Accountant. With her strong teaching background, she enjoys educating clients while helping them navigate daily transactions, plan strategically, and gain confidence in their monthly financials. Her goal is to add meaningful value to both her clients’ businesses and personal lives.

Outside of work, Emily and her partner Jason live in Trafalgar and spend as much time outdoors as possible, often alongside their Border Collie rescue, Lady. They enjoy hiking, kayaking, camping, and exploring new parks both in and out of state. Spring Mill is their favorite Indiana park and holds a special place in Emily’s heart, as she worked there as a lifeguard growing up. Emily and Jason have also flipped houses and maintain an interest in real estate investing. In her downtime, Emily can be found tending to her greenhouse, which may rest briefly in winter but otherwise stays full of growing plants.
