TrueBlaze is Hiring: Full-time Accountant
Come join the TrueBlaze team! We’re looking for an Accountant who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and helping small businesses stay financially organized.
At TrueBlaze, accounting is about more than categorizing transactions and reconciling accounts. The financial information we prepare helps us advise clients on their businesses, so accuracy, timeliness, and understanding the why behind the numbers are important.

Who We’re Looking For
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Take ownership of your work and follow through on responsibilities
- Are organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy figuring things out
- Communicate clearly and proactively with clients and teammates
- Enjoy learning and want to continue growing professionally
- Value being part of a collaborative, supportive team
- Bring professionalism and integrity to your work
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll manage monthly accounting engagements for an assigned group of small business clients while working closely with the rest of the TrueBlaze team.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage monthly accounting engagements and meet established deadlines
- Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information and resolve questions
- Categorize transactions and review client-entered activity for proper accounting treatment
- Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and other balance sheet accounts
- Review payroll, depreciation, and other key accounts
- Prepare journal entries, adjusting entries, and supporting schedules
- Prepare and maintain clear, organized workpapers and client documentation
- Generate monthly financial statements and review them for accuracy and reasonableness
- Identify unusual activity, inconsistencies, or questions that should be investigated
- Prepare sales/use tax filings, Forms 1099, and other client reporting as applicable
- Assist with accounting clean-up projects, tax-related work, and other projects based on experience and interest
- Submit completed work for quality-control review and work through review comments
As you get to know your clients, we want you to begin recognizing what their numbers are telling us—not simply whether the accounts reconcile.
What We’re Looking For
- Associate degree or higher, preferably in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and concepts
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients, projects, and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take ownership of your work
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or tax preparation is a plus, but not required
