TrueBlaze Welcomes Two Team Members
We are thrilled to welcome two outstanding additions to the TrueBlaze team with the hiring of our new Director of Client Development and an Accounting & Tax Manager. Their combined experience, leadership, and dedication to serving clients will strengthen our ability to deliver the highest level of service to our clients.
Layne Carmola
Layne joined TrueBlaze in August 2025 as Director of Client Development, bringing both energy and expertise to the firm’s growth efforts. In her role, she leads business development by managing new opportunities, building authentic connections with prospective clients, and ensuring each new client experiences a seamless, positive onboarding. Simply put: she helps turn introductions into long-lasting partnerships.

With a degree in psychology and the arts from Indiana University Bloomington, Layne has always been fascinated by people and what drives them. That curiosity quickly translated into a career in sales, where she’s spent nearly a decade working alongside small business owners and building strong relationships with accountants, CPAs, and HR professionals. Her knack for connecting with others and understanding their needs has made her an invaluable partner wherever she goes.
A Chicago-area native, Layne grew up in Hinsdale, IL, and now lives in Fishers with her husband, Nick, their son, Micah, and two lively dogs—a Black Lab and an English Cream Golden Retriever—who ensure life is never dull. When she’s not chasing after her little one (or the dogs), she enjoys staying active, playing pickleball, and exploring new restaurants around town.
Though she once dreamed of performing on Broadway, Layne has found her stage a little closer to home—singing on her church’s worship team and indulging her love for the performing arts. Whether it’s at work, on the court, or behind a microphone, Layne brings the same passion and enthusiasm to everything she does.
Emily Jones
Emily Jones joined the TrueBlaze team in January 2026 as Accounting & Tax Manager. She began her career in public accounting working for Deloitte Tax as part of an international tax consulting group before transitioning into higher education at her alma mater, Franklin College. For 12 years, Emily taught accounting and tax courses, combining real-world experience with a passion for education. In addition to teaching, Emily continued to provide tax services to approximately 40 individual, small business, and nonprofit clients, staying active and engaged in the profession. Believe it or not, TrueBlaze founder Adam even made a few guest appearances in Emily’s classroom — a connection that helped inspire her return to the accounting profession.

Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Franklin College, an MBA from Butler University, and is a Certified Public Accountant. With her strong teaching background, she enjoys educating clients while helping them navigate daily transactions, plan strategically, and gain confidence in their monthly financials. Her goal is to add meaningful value to both her clients’ businesses and personal lives.
Outside of work, Emily and her partner Jason live in Trafalgar and spend as much time outdoors as possible, often alongside their Border Collie rescue, Lady. They enjoy hiking, kayaking, camping, and exploring new parks both in and out of state. Spring Mill is their favorite Indiana park and holds a special place in Emily’s heart, as she worked there as a lifeguard growing up. Emily and Jason have also flipped houses and maintain an interest in real estate investing. In her downtime, Emily can be found tending to her greenhouse, which may rest briefly in winter but otherwise stays full of growing plants.
